Best Exhibition

It was the Pixar 20 Years of Animation in Taipei Fine Arts Museum

I watched a lot of Disney animations, pretty much grew up with these films LOL

The exhibition takes you behind the scenes of the studio, a look at the creative process of how there animations were done - from the beginning.

Prototypes, Sketches, Sculptures, Paintings, Storyboards.

It's the world's largest exhibition dedicated to the art of animation, from MOMA in NY.

(ps. now the exhibition is in Kaohsiung!!)

BTW, I went to this exhibition with my best friend from high school. We had great memories related to this animation "Monsters Inc." : ) 珍瑜我好想妳呀 哈哈~

Best Film

不能沒有你 AKA. Bu Neng Mei You Ni; NO PUEDO VIVIR SIN TI

Based on a true story happened several years ago.

I was pretty much stunned by the movie, and had a long chat with my friend after the movie. It depicts the bureaucratic issue and the imperfectness of the social system in Taiwan.

The Award-winning film became popular, but what comes after wasn't quite pleasant, and it's disappointing to the director. Ignorant journalists revealed some news about the real characters in this story. We still have a lot to learn, about respecting others, about how to do the right things for the wellbeing of our society.

故事可以幫助人, 也可以很深的傷害同樣的人.

BTW, the Kaohsiung government sponsored the movie so we can watch it half price. Pretty ironic, a film telling stories about the incompetence of the government (somewhat haha), but the gov. actually encouraged us to go.... That's nice though. Taiwanese films are really nice!\

Best Music

Now this is really a difficult one.

But... I'll still go for ... Crowd Lu 盧廣仲

Simple, Cheerful, Music!

He won the best new artist 2009 Golden Melody Awards !!! And right after that there's his new album OH YEAH.

Almost listen to it every day at work here in Shanghai.

Brings me good mood! 凹._.凹

Best Accomplishment

Well my dissertation, 80 pages.

Although I just found out I failed to list one reference.... but whatever...

I already uploaded and printed out, so....

Hope it's still an interesting study :D
